Niall Treacy says he will be racing for a better future for short track speed skating in Great Britain at the Winter Olympics in Italy.

Colorado Gold Speed Skating is a non-profit organization in Olympic City USA looking to expand the sport. The club welcomes skaters of all levels in what Yutangco describes as a team, family-oriented environment.

Andrew Heo, 25, began skating when he was 6, following in his cousins and older brothers’ footsteps. His older brother was taking lessons at Potomac Speedskating Club, a three-hour drive from their home in Warrington.

The 24-year-old short track speed skater will make his Olympic debut in Milan Cortina after years of juggling rigorous academics and improvised training plans.

Canadian short track skater Maxime Laoun owns 12 sets of blades. He brought five to Milan. They are allegedly identical in every respect, hand-hewn but machine measured. Laoun can still feel the invisible differences between them.
