Plano ISD schools and facilities will remain closed through Wednesday, January 28, 2026. All district and campus activities are also canceled through Wednesday due to freezing temperatures and ongoing snow and ice accumulation. Based on the current forecast, temperatures are expected to rise above freezing again on Wednesday. At this time, we anticipate classes will resume as scheduled on Thursday, January 29. All HEB ISD schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, due to forecasts of extreme cold and potentially hazardous travel conditions. All after school and evening activities for Tuesday, January 27, 2026, are also canceled or will be rescheduled. The latest guidance from the National Weather Service indicates that slushy roads will refreeze Monday night, and significant improvement in road conditions is not expected until during the day on Tuesday at the earliest.
