Here’s an adorable video of Rita, Violet and Amber zooming around Sheep Mountain! Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep are agile climbers that can climb steep, rocky slopes with ease. They can jump seven feet across wide crevices in their rugged habitat and can even turn in mid-air, landing on small ledges of rock. As spring arrives, bighorn sheep 🐑 resume their diet of grasses and clover. (Eating woodier plants like sage and willow in the winter). ☘️ They are ruminants with a 4-part stomach that allows them to eat a lot, then retreat to a cliff, safe from predators, to rechew and digest.
