I also love science and I had an intriguing case where my patient was suffering from halitosis due to an underlying gut infection! I’m always sad when patients tell me that their PCP have left them without solutions or advise other than antibiotics. This patient had become antibiotic resistant and had a raging gut infection which presented in the mouth in form of halitosis.
